On 8th August, 2024, the United Nations Global Compact Network Ghana in partnership with International Labor Organization and Ecobank Ghana PLC organized an impactful Living Wage Conference on the theme “Moving Forward Faster: From Minimum to Living Wages”
The aim of this conference was to advance the living wage agenda in Ghana through a broader stakeholder engagement, bringing together the key labor organizations to discuss the challenges and solutions to the barriers in implementing living wage.
The panel discussion focused on “Challenges and Solutions to Barriers to Implementing Living Wages in Ghana”. This session explored the specific challenges being encountered by stakeholders in their work on living wages and also highlighted current initiatives, best practices and recommendations for implementing living wages in Ghana.
It was a day filled with insightful discussions, impactful ideas, and a collective commitment to ensuring a living wage for all.
